7th Rilem International Conference on Cracking in Pavements

20th - 22th June 2012

The RILEM on Cracking in Pavements (www.rilem2012.org) promotes international synergies and coordinates research efforts and encourages researchers and engineers from all over the world to share their knowledge, new experiences and ideas in this symposium.

After the successful conferences in Limoges, France, in 2004 and in Chicago, USA, in 2008, the next International Conference on Cracking in Pavements will be organized on the campus of Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in June 2012.

The conference will include, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Fatigue cracking mechanisms
- Reflective cracking prediction and measurement
- Laboratory and field model validation
- Construction approaches related to crack development
- In-situ experimental studies
- Advanced design of anti-cracking options
- Accelerated pavement testing
- Computational modeling of pavement material response

3rd International Air Transport and Operations Symposium (ATOS 2012)

18th - 20th June 2012

As we enter  the 2nd decade of the 2nd century of aviation, and with the EU emissions trading scheme about to enter into force, ATOS 2012 aims to explore how we achieve sustainable progress for the industry. How do we identify, formalize, quantify, optimize and deliver sustained value within the current climate? Can we start to move towards a new Value Operations Methodology that raises the profile of operations research, and incorporates not only cost, but also the environment, safety and capacity into the equation? Indeed, ATOS 2012 aims to build on this aspiration of sustaining value in air transport and operations!

Third International Engineering Systems Symposium:Cesun2012

18 June 2012 - 20 June 2012

We are pleased to announce the upcoming  Third International Engineering Systems Symposium under the theme Design and Governance in Engineering Systems: Roots• Trunk • Blossoms. The symposium is being organised jointly by The Council of Engineering Systems Universities (CESUN), the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and will take place June 18-20, 2012 at the TU Delft. For further information, please go directly to the symposium website cesun2012.tudelft.nlwhere you can also download the official Call for Submissions.

It will be a high-level, three-day meeting addressing the challenges of designing and governing engineering systems by providing state-of-the-art, integrated framing and modelling approaches that embrace the complexity of large-scale, engineering systems from both the technical and socio-economic perspectives. We hope that you will join us in June!
