Master of Science Design for Interaction
TU Delft's MSc Programme in Design for Interaction focuses on the way in which people and products interact. How does a user experience and use a product? What is his understanding of that product? And is it the design of the product that determines or influences these responses, the needs and abilities of the user, or the environment in which it is used and its social context?
Designing solutions for real people
The goal of the programme is to educate designers in such a manner that they will acquire a profound understanding of what people do with products and expect from the products they use in everyday life. It aims to produce graduates who are able to design products appropriate to users’ needs and expectations.
What you will learn
To gain the skills and understanding required to design for interaction, you will pursue a multi-disciplinary course of study covering topics which include ergonomics, aesthetics, interaction design, psychology and sociology. You will also learn how to involve users in analysing needs, and study the use of technology in the design process. Visualisation and conceptualisation play an important part in this; the consideration of the interaction between people and products. The development, testing and refinement of prototypes also figure prominently in the programme.
