Housing, Urban and Mobility Studies

The research institute OTB offers, amongst others, the two-year postdoctorate course Housing, Urban and Mobility Studies. The course aims to provide professionals with a university degree the opportunity to develop research skills, enabling them to operate as policy researcher or assistants in areas where buildings are under construction, or in existing built-up areas.

During the course, students spend an average of four days a week participating in one or more research projects. One day a week they study the following subject: this must consist of (at least) the following subjects: policy, design techniques, planning techniques, management techniques for building and built environments, information supply, policy evaluation, research skills and oral and written presentation.
