International opportunities

During the third semester of the programme EPA students have the opportunity to study abroad as part of an exchange program or to obtain a double degree.

Double-degree programmes

  • International double degree programme with Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in China
  • Erasmus Mundus programme on Economics and Management of Network Industries (EMIN), which is taught in conjunction with the University of Paris-Sud XI (Paris, France) and Pontificia University Comillas (Madrid, Spain).

Harbin Institute of Technology

EPA has a joint programme with the Management Faculty of Harbin University of Technology (HIT) in Harbin, China. HIT is a leading technical university in China, its main campus located in the heart of this bristling, 6 million inhabitants industrial city in northern China. Selected Chinese students participate in the programme, which also allows non-Chinese students to study in Harbin to earn an additional HIT management degree. There is also the opportunity to study in Harbin as an exchange student for a shorter period of time.

Erasmus Mundus programme

Delft University of Technology's EPA programme is one of the three main partners in the Erasmus Mundus master programme on Economics and Management of Network Industries. The programme puts together Universidad Pontifia de Commilas (Madrid, coordinator), Universite Paris-Sud 11 and Delft University of Technology in order to provide a global, trans-national and between industrial sectors approach to network industries regulation and management.

Exchange

The Faculty of TPM has many bilateral exchange programmes with other universities*; each year a number of EPA students participate, for instance, in any of the following programmes:

  • Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia)
  • Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA)
  • Indiana University (Bloomington, USA)
  • Keio University (Tokyo, Japan)

To see the full list of partner universities abroad please go to www.studyabroad.tbm.tudelft.nl

*) The number of places at each partner university is limited. A yearly selection procedure is involved.

In addition to international student exchanges for one semester, students may choose to spend one week in another European university in the ATHENS programme
