Objectives
The international master programme Engineering and Policy Analysis aims to teach students holding Bachelor degrees in various specialised science, technology and engineering disciplines to analyse large-scale technologies and infrastructures as complex systems. They are equipped to analyse, structure and model them while taking into account the socio- economic environment in which they are embedded. As a result, the EPA graduates become policy analysts capable of improving the quality of decision-making.
The programme focuses on policy processes regarding large-scale technical systems for transport, telecommunications, energy, water management and industrial innovation. It has been designed to equip students with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills in areas such as problem structuring, systems analysis, policy and decision modelling and support, analysis of multi-actor networks, economics and management.
EPA graduates have knowledge and understanding of essential facts, concepts, principles and theories relevant to understanding large-scale systems and their management. They are skilled in applying this knowledge to policy problems in one or more technological domains.
