C10.M6 Basics of Business Model Generation
Course Description:
During the course, the participants will learn how a specific a business model methodology, developed for entrepreneurs, can be used in analyzing and starting-up enterprises. A Business model describes the rationale of how an organization creates, delivers and captures value. We will use a business model methodology developed by Alexander Osterwalder & Yves Pigneur called ‘the Business Model Canvas’. During the course, participants gain basic practical knowledge about starting up a business.
Learning Objectives:
After this course, participants will be able:
- To understand the basic principles of entrepreneurship
- To distinguish between different types of Business Models
- To understand and use the model of Alexander Osterwalder
Teaching Method:
During the course, participants work on a business model based on their own business ideas (preferably based on their own PhD research projects.
