C10.M1 Career Development - Preparing the Next Step in Your Career

Course description:

This workshop will stimulate participants to start thinking and preparing of their first next career step after they will finish their PhD.  

Course objectives:

The objective of the workshop is to support participants in preparing their next career step by having them define their strengths, personal traits and  the challenges that they are looking for in the future.  

Teaching method:

Both presentations and short assignments make the workshop very interactive and demand active preparation and participation of the PhD students. Also improving their CV and the use of social media for application purposes are covered in the workshop.  

About the Lecturer(s)/Coach(es)

Monique has been working as student counsellor for five years before she joined the team of the Career Centre in June 2011. She is an experienced trainer and advisor for students and PhD students. Madeleen primarily supports students at the Career Centre and gained experience in working with internationals, both in an academic as well as in a corporate setting.
