Two TU Delft studentes on Antarctic expedition

In 2006, Robert Swan will lead his fourth international group to the Antarctic. The team will consist of up and coming corporate leaders, entrepreneurs in the field of renewable energy and journalists. Teachers and disadvantaged students will also accompany him on the voyage and participate in the opening of the first Education Base (E-Base) in Antarctica.
They will experience first hand the importance of preserving Antarctica and protecting the environment for future generations. The knowledge they take back to their businesses, schools and communities will be crucial in expanding local and global awareness on sustainable living and the environment.
The two students come to the team with a special mission; they will be designing a new method for providing renewable energy to the Education Base, and the energy system envisioned has to be realized fast!
