Unique facilities

TU Delft has extensive on-campus research facilities, ranging from wind tunnels, chip facilities, a high-voltage lab and a nuclear reactor to serious gaming and product evaluation. These facilities are unique in the Netherlands and are also available for corporate research.

Instruments for measuring and testing

TU Delft has advanced instruments, test set-ups and software for measuring and testing. At the special website www.labs.tudelft.nl you can search by instrument, application and location. There you can check the specifications of each instrument and find out who to contact. The contact can assess with you whether the instrument is suitable for your purpose and how the envisaged research can be carried out.

Brainstorming and team support

In various stages of a research project it can be useful to hold group brainstorming sessions or employ other methods such as models and mind maps. TU Delft has a Group Decision Room and various Smart Boards to generate ideas or find research solutions in an inspiring and efficient group context.

Literature surveys and patent research

A literature survey or patent research can help you with the first steps of your research or preparations for a patent application. EMSD (Electronic and Mechanical Support Division)

The Electronic and Mechanical Support Division (Dienst Elektronische en Mechanische Ontwikkeling, DEMO) assists experimental technical and scientific education and research. We do this through the rapid development and manufacturing of unique experimental setups and prototypes. The DEMO organisation exists primarily to serve Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), but where possible we also offer our services to other educational and research institutions, to knowledge-intensive companies and to new technology businesses.
