Partnership with universities

TU Delft works together with lots of other education and research institutions at home and abroad. Below you will find a selection of our formal partnerships in research and education. 

3TU.Federation

The three technical universities in the Netherlands - TU Delft, University of Twente and TU Eindhoven – want to enlarge their significance for the Dutch knowledge economy. To this end, they have combined strengths in 3TU.Federation with a view to strengthening their national and international position and thus promote the Dutch knowledge economy. 

IDEA League

IDEA League is a strategic partnership between five large European technical universities in which TU Delft participates with:

• Imperial College of Science and Technology London;
• Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule, Zürich;
• Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule, Aachen;
• Paris Tech. 

These universities are combining their strengths with excellent research and education programmes to form unique integrated partnerships.  

European Leuven network

The European Leuven network consists of a limited number of prominent technical universities from Europe who continuously work together in education and research partnerships. The network promotes the exchange of students and intensifies contacts between all faculties. Read more

TU Delft maintains bilateral partnerships with a large number of universities around the world.  

European University Association

TU Delft is a member of the European University Association (EUA), the principal European body for the higher education community. The EUA stimulates the development of a coherent system in European higher education and research.
