Criteria
Delft Innovation Award 2011
All innovations will be judged on innovativeness and applicability and on two criteria that the participant should choose. A motivation of maximum 250 words has to be written for each chosen criterion; each criterion counts for 25 percent.
Criteria for all innovations:
- Applicability: What is the application of your innovation? Which market(s) will it serve? What is the drive to apply your innovation?
- Innovativeness: Explain in what sense your innovation (activity) is new. And next to that, what kind of change(s) does your innovation provoke (e.g. in markets and scale)?
Variable criteria:
- Sustainability: What is the effect of your innovation on people and planet?
- Aesthetics: How is your innovation appealing for the (end)user?
- Simplicity: How did you reduce complexity?
- Social impact: Which impact could your innovation have on (global) society?
- Producability: In what way have you taken into account the possibility to produce and to maintain your innovation?
- Usability: Explain how your innovation is easy to use by the (end)user.
