The University fund Delft

The University Fund (UfD) is a foundation that endeavours to enhance and support education and research at the TU Delft, independently of the TU Delft, but in close association with the Executive Board and TU professors. The Fund provides important supplementary support for the realisation of all kinds of projects. Its primary objective is realised through activities such as extending subsidies, inviting guest lecturers, awarding prizes for excellent accomplishments and the initiating of professorial chairs.

During your time in Delft you may have become acquainted with the Fund’s activities, as the Fund financially supports among other things the organization of study trips, excursions and internships, and the production of year books and almanacs. The UfD tries to encourage students to undertake extracurricular activities, but cannot do so without donations from companies and from you, our alumni.

The University Fund and the Alumni Association have taken the joint initiative to raise funds for interesting research projects within Delft University of Technology. This fundraising is called 'Daden voor Delft' (In Action for Delft). Also, the Alumni Association together with the UfD publishes the alumni magazine 'Uit Delft' ('From Delft', available in Dutch only).
